Trade shows have long been a place where we can get together with others in the industry, network and develop long lasting professional relationships. Just like previous years, we had our shows planned, our booths mapped out, new product releases scheduled and we were ready to catch up with old faces and meet new ones. But, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything.

With traditional trade shows off the table, we are embracing what they are calling the "new normal" and going virtual. PMX LIVE is our first attempt at participating in a virtual show. We were excited, but there were many questions that needed answered before we could start planning. How does a virtual booth work? What can we customize? How will we interact with our customers?

We let our imagination run wild with grand ideas of a spectacular virtual tradeshow booth. We were determined to show the world everything we had to offer. How could we be successful at a show if we didn't display our LED signs and blind every person who walks by? (If you've seen them...you know) How do we get you to see and touch our products from afar? So we built it into our booth; flashing signs, every application photo we could find, a pop up for this and a pop up for that. We had it all.

After we completed our booth we leaned back into our chairs with our fingers intertwined behind our heads staring at the beauty we created...and then realized the unthinkable! While our booth showcased Signal-Tech, it was lacking visitor interaction. When we attend a show, the best part is getting to meet everyone and having face-to face-conversations.

So back to the drawing board we went. We stripped down the booth and added a few places for attendees and us to connect. We added a live chat so you can ask questions or just stop by and say hi. We also included a place where we can join together for a quick Zoom meeting and actually see your face. You can even download our latest brochures and request some Signal-Tech swag!

We learned a lot creating our virtual booth, but most importantly we came back to what really matters...our relationships with our customers.
