Blank Out Signs is a term that refers to an illuminated sign that does not have a phantom image when turned off. The message becomes unreadable when not illuminated.

The primary purpose of a blank out sign is to prevent confusion for your customers.

For instance if you have a "No Vacancy" sign turned on with the word "No" turned off to create a "Vacancy" sign, but the word "No" was still visible, your potential customers may think that your rooms were full and bypass your business.

Any of our incandescent, neon or LED signs can be blank out signs. We provide a dark protective face option, which ensures that no part of the message is viewable when the sign is turned off. We also use light barriers to separate multi-color signs and the different messages of the sign. This effectively eliminates the phantom message.
