Variable messages need to be easy to read quickly and clearly. VMS Rebel uses super-bright, wide-angle LEDs designed to improve visibility from multiple viewing angles and in direct sunlight.
Depending on the selected character height, messages can be viewed from approximately:
- 3.5-inch characters: 200 feet
- 8.5-inch characters: 400 feet
VMS Rebel supports scrolling text, multiple message formats, symbols, arrows, and time-based messaging to provide flexible, high-visibility communication.

Each sign features a corrosion-resistant extruded aluminum cabinet with a hinged face for simplified service and maintenance. A contrast-enhancing polycarbonate face helps reduce glare and improve readability in bright sunlight and challenging weather conditions.
Electronics are conformal coated to help resist dust, moisture, and environmental exposure, while UL/cUL wet-location listings support outdoor installations.
VMS Rebel is available in three cabinet sizes:
