How RedStorm Works
The RedStorm™ 2.0 Parking Guidance System is a stand-alone system that combines real-time vehicle counting with Space Available signs. Using sensing technology, the RedStorm System counts the number of vehicles entering and exiting a garage or lot. The remaining available "open" spaces are then displayed on signs at the parking facility entrance letting motorists know where the open spaces are even before they enter the parking facility.
RedStorm's flexibility adapts to any garage or surface lot configuration.
- In/Out global count system allows you to track the number of cars entering and exiting so you can manage capacity and staff for peak utilization periods.
- Level by Level count system tracks the number of available spaces, "open spaces", on each deck or nested area. Open space counts can be displayed at the parking entrance and throughout the parking facility. Vehicle congestion is reduced by directing motorists to the open spaces faster.
- Available space counts can be broadcast to signs throughout the campus directing traffic to available parking and reducing bottlenecks on campus roads.
- And best of all....the RedStorm Parking Guidance System is scalable! An In/Out global count system can be expanded to count nested areas.... or...expanded to a level by level count system and so on...
RedStorm is Ideal for Existing Lots and Garages
RedStorm will integrate with existing in ground loop systems. A simple dry contact relay connection between your in ground loop system and RedStorm is all that's needed.
Don't have in-ground loops? RedStorm's overhead sensors can be installed without cutting the cement. Our sensor technology is so accurate that it can detect vehicles even when there's tailgating. We use infra-red technology to detect vehicular movement. Our sensors use a 7 foot wide sensing field to provide maximum coverage over the traffic lane and a narrow 3" deep sensing field to ensure it can detect individual cars even in bumper to bumper traffic situations.
